Deep End — Refund Policy

Effective date: 2 August 2026

1. Try before you pay

Deep End can be used free of charge, with a weekly message allowance and no account required. Signed-in users can also start a one-time free trial. We would rather you find out whether the Service suits you before paying anything.

2. Subscriptions — full refund within 14 days if unused

Deep End can be evaluated thoroughly before you pay, through free use and a free trial. If you nevertheless change your mind, we will refund you in full when your request comes within 14 days of the payment and you have used little or none of that period's message allowance (up to 10% of it). You do not need to give a reason.

Where the allowance has already been used substantially, what you bought has been delivered, so a full refund is not available. Tell us your situation and we will consider a partial refund for the remaining period.

Renewal payments follow the same rule: refundable within 14 days of the renewal if you have not used the Service in that period.

3. Message top-ups

One-time top-ups are refundable within 14 days of purchase provided the purchased allowance is entirely unused. Once any of it has been used, that purchase can no longer be refunded, because what was bought has been delivered.

4. Cancelling instead of refunding

You can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings in the app, which opens the billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. Cancelling on its own does not produce a refund for the current period.

5. If something is broken

If the Service does not work as described — for example replies stop being generated, or paid features do not unlock after payment — please contact us first. We will try to put it right, and if we cannot, we will refund the affected period regardless of the 14-day window.

6. How to request a refund

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles returns. You can:

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. The time it takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer, and is typically a few working days.

7. Your statutory rights

This policy is in addition to the rights you have under the law of the country where you live, and does not replace them. Consumers in Korea, the EU, the UK and elsewhere may have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital services; where that right is more generous than this policy, the law applies.
